FAQ:Here to Help

Here are a few Questions that some of you may be asking yourselves about, If you need any more advice on the cheats see the Help & Advice Section in the blog:
1.How do I Access the cheats bar?
A:To access the cheats bar all you do is press: Ctrl+Shift+C and a long narrow bar should appear at the top of your screen
2.I've Entered the cheat,but it doesn't appear to be working!
A:Its all a matter of WHERE you enter the cheat,Some cheats may need to be entered in the neighbourhood view,some may require you to enter them im LIVE mode.
3.I want to turn off my cheat! How do I do this?
A:Some cheats have specific codes to turn them off,for example,"boolProp snapObjectstoGrid flase" can be turned off by using, "boolProp snapObjectstoGrid true". However some cheats aren't like this and you need to re-start the game to turn them off.

Advanced Landscaping

We all know that the Headmaster complains about not a high enough environment for you child (or in his own words, "not a suitable environment").But improving the environment is a costly process! Give him only the interior to complain about next time,with these helpful hints and tips:

• Even though buying and hanging paintings is expensive, invest a little and give each room an expensive artwork peice, that way you will have a high room score in total!
• Paint Paint Paint! Sharpen up your Sims creatvity skills and create you own paintings, portraits and custi paintings have the highest room score and framing your paintings also helps
• Adding shelves with cheap scultures can have a really positive effect! And whats more it dosent cost much with cheap sculptures!

Getting A Bit Trickier: Yet More Cheats!

I thought about the last set of cheats, and said to myself "You know what, I'll post some more cheats!" So I did. Here are a few more cheats that you can use:

• Never pay bills! - This cheat is activated by using the "boolProp" cheat. OK, direct your Sim to collect the mail, and once they have it in their hand, delete the command. Now activate the "boolProp" cheat, go in to buy mode and delete the bills!, You can leave the cheat on afterwards so you don't have to re-type it!
• List all cheats - If you want instant help from the game, get the cheat bar up and simply type in: Help -all. Easy!
• Put the game in slow motion - Always funny, to do this simply type in the cheat bar:slowmotion and press enter.0 being the fastest and 8 being the slowest
• Make your Sims Smaller/Larger - Type in: stretchskeleton. Massive and midget Sims!

Getting A Bit Trickier: Cheats Explained

I mentioned some cheats for more advanced players of the game. But if you are struggling to get to grips with what the cheat initially does, here's a little support:

First of all, The Max Skills Cheat - This cheat is quite simple, basically this cheat allows you to have maximum skills without all the studying! If your having problems with the cheat or its not working, be sure to check the following:

1. Make sure you have activated the cheat in the NEIGHBOURHOOD VIEW, sometimes the cheat doesn't work if you do it on a family screen.
2. Make Sure you haven't paused the game by going into build or buy mode, check to make sure you have paused the game by pressing "P".

Next, Cloning your Sims - This cheat is a bit complicated, so here a few tips:

1. Make sure you only clone up to 5 different Sims, Too many Sims can slow the Game down.
2. Don't try and clone, Clones, it certainly isn't healthy for the game.

Now, Ageing Cheats - This cheat can make or ruin the game for you, so make sure you do the following:

1. Type the WHOLE cheat using LOWER CASE letters, you are penalised for your punctuation in this game.
2. Remember the "-" without this, the cheat won't work. Make sure you haven't pressed "Shift" and accidentally made your "-" into a "_".

Inviting more Sims - Sometime people go overload and invite the whole neighbourhood around! Be careful:

1. DO NOT invite more than 20 Sims over at one time, too many Sims=Very slow Game!

Placing Items outside Grid - Sometimes people think they can just place items willy nilly, but take care, you could BREAK THE GAME!!!

1. NO doors/windows/stairs etc outside the grid, both you and your Sims will get very confused.
2. Be carefull when placing items like chairs and tables outside the grid, your Sims may get stick behind them.

Nude Sims- taking away the blurring for some is fun, however it can cause porblems, make sure you:

1. Re-Pixelate Sims before your exit the game.
2. Only de-Pixelate Controlablle Sims
